Puszidon Productions is made up of Emily Capehart (aka "Puszidon" - pictured left) and her wife Hannah Capehart. Emily received her bachelor's degree at Pepperdine University, majoring in Film Studies with an emphasis in Media Production and a minor in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Screenwriting. She also received her masters in Directing from Dodge College of Media Arts (Chapman University) in August of 2021. Though Hannah has no formal training, she has quickly become Emily's closest collaborator. She also has experience producing, aiding the Art Department, and composing music. Together, we share a vision and a dream, striving to create representational content from script to screen.
So, what is "representational content" exactly? To us, "representational content" refers to any content highlighting and celebrating minority stories of any shape or form. First and foremost, we are members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We have always felt passionate about supporting and producing content that highlights and celebrates all types of LGBTQIA+ stories. But then we thought, why stop there? We should be willing to fight for all types of representational content!
As our mission implies, we hope to further the changes already beginning to spark throughout the industry. We aim to cultivate a more inclusive, diverse, and accepting atmosphere in which the art of film can flourish and positively impact the world around us. In an industry still stuck in the past in so many ways, we strive to be a shift in the tides and a beacon of hope for the future.
